In North Plainfield, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in New Jersey, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.
Hours are published for 3 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 am–4:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (908) 400-8462. I have wanted to go to this greenhouse for a while now and I am glad I finally got to! We went on a day where they were having a FIFA watch party with an amazing coffee/matcha bar. The staff was so kind and helpful ,and i was so pleasantly surprised by the selection of plants + the price range!

This place is way bigger than I expected!! 3 huge greenhouses filled with houseplants. It’s rare to see a nursery mainly focus on indoor plants. Great selection with unique finds. The owner is also very welcoming, warm, and friendly. I can’t wait to return!

It wasn’t advertised like a regular store and I wasn’t sure where to go in. I ended up walking to the back of the building and found an older man working. He let me see the green houses and we talked a bit. He was really kind and welcoming. There were a few cats running around with kittens. The plant selection is great. I wasn’t prepared to see so many plants I wanted. It ranged from $8 to $120 for a large impressive plant. I only got two but I wanted all of them! If you go on the weekend and it’s closed, try again. It’s worth the trip.

I also had no idea this place existed, but I’m so glad I found it! I went for the first time 1-2 weeks ago and spent around an hour there. This place is huge 🤩. They have a wide selection of houseplants ranging from the common, popular houseplants to many of the high demand “rare” plants. I had a wonderful time chatting with one of the employees Lauren (a fellow houseplant enthusiast). She was extremely kind and helpful. I even got to meet the owner George, who was also very kind. I will definitely be going back to this place in the future to pick up many of the plants I have in mind!! One thing to keep in mind is that credit cards are not accepted as a mode of payment- from what I recall Venmo/paypal/cash are accepted but I’m sure that is subject to change!
